Description
R2A & R2I participated in a design-build competition for the proposed Rutgers University’s new ground-up +/- 20,000 SF Continuing Studies Degree Completion Center that emphasized on educating a student population seeking to continue their education from previously attended local community college(s) or returning adult students seeking to complete their studies to earn their degree. We prepared the conceptual architectural and interior design for the facility.
The building features state-of-the-art technology to utilize natural daylight harvesting in the instructional and administrative areas to reduce energy consumption, utilize reclaimed and recycled building materials to make for a more environmentally friendly facility, and have a ‘look and feel’ of an updated corporate setting to help prepare the students for their careers.
